Greetings
to all and peace from God our Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
It
is almost
impossible to believe that 2002 is
passed and that 2003 has begun. The past year has been a year of many
changes
for LAMB.Due to unfore seen
circumstances many of the members
of LAMB chose
to resign their positions on the board and therefore the
board as was known is not the same. A major restructuring has taken
place with
both several new members and policies being in place. The current board
consists of Seventy Juan Reyes who is
directing the ministry in Mexico with the emphasis on the Matamoros
area. He
will be providing ministry to the Central American and South American
areas
also. Elder Lowell Augenstein will be assisting Seventy Reyes with the
work in
Matamoros as well as Honduras. Seventy
Steve Devera will be providing ministry at large throughout Latin
America in
all areas . Elder Gary Metzger will be providing ministry
primarily in Honduras and continuing with
ministry to the people in Chile and Argentina in South America. Priest
Aaron
Rhoads will be assisting all of these men as well as providing
assistance to
Elder Michael Meier,LAMB Chairman who will be providing ministry to
Belize as
requested and to the field at large.
This past year
has seen many struggles with a new board trying to pick up where the
others had
left off and not lose the continuity of ministry throughout Latin
America.
We have seen the
ministry continue in Honduras and during
the weekend of January 3-5,2003 Seventy Reyes
and Elders Metzger
and Augenstein participated in the
Honduran Family Reunion.. Much ministry was shared and all returned
home
praising God and sharing testimonies of the many blessings received by
all.
The ministry in
Matamoros Mexico continues to grow and the people there are hopeful to
have a
church home and full time services. They are currently meeting in a home in Matamoros. All who have volunteered
to provide weekend ministry there have come home rejoicing as Gods
Spirit has
been with them. Also we are providing support for the Mitla center and
look
forward to continuing with that support.
Brother Metzger
has continued the website ministry and last year there were over 1000
requests
for information re the Restoration from
outside the United States.
Brothers Reyes
and Metzger traveled to Argentina and Chile to meet with people that
had made
contact on the website and currently we have had a request for baptism.
We are
planning on sending a missionary team to South America in the spring
for 6 to 8
weeks of teaching and hopefully the establishment of the Church there.
Our
goals for the
upcoming year are to continue the ministry that is currently in place in
Mexico with the location
of property for the establishment
of a permanent congregation in Matamoros. Further we are looking at the
missionary work to expand into Jojutla and the surrounding area.
The ministry in
Honduras will continue as has been under the direction of Elder Metzger
Brothers Meier and Reyes will be providing ministry throughout Belize.
Further
we are looking towards the Cayo district for the establishent of a
possible
mission.
We have had
several requests for ministry in Guatemala and will be following up on
those
requests.
The website
continues to provide many leads and will continue to be used as a
missionary
tool. From this site we have had contacts in Chile and Argentina and
those
requests have been followed up on and there is a great need for
missionarys in
these areas. We are currently looking for a team to go into these areas
for an
extended stay to teach and establish the Church presence in this area.
As
always the
work is great and bilingual workers few
yet we are confident that if we patiently follow Gods direction all
will come
to pass that needs be done.

In Gospel
Bonds,
Elder
Michael G.Meier Sr.
