| Committed active relationship with Jesus Christ. |

| Must be willing to live in somewhat primitive conditions with a church member family. There will be running water and electricity most of the time. |
| At least 18 years old. |
| Active member in good standing of your local Restoration branch. |
| Written recommendation from your local presiding elder or pastor that gives his approval for the mission trip. |
| Written recommendation from one other active priesthood member in your local branch. |
| Completed medical consent form signed by yourself and your doctor. |
| Completed application form. |
| One year college or two years of high school Spanish or equivalent preferred. |
| At least 20 hours experience working as a volunteer in a soup kitchen, rescue mission etc. |
| Valid passport. Tourist visa can be obtained upon entry into Honduras. |
| $2580 US for one year’s stay in Honduras. This amount includes your round-trip airfare from Kansas City. You will need to obtain your own funding. |
| It is highly recommended that young men be priesthood members before arriving in Honduras because of the type of missionary work you will be doing. |
| Young men must be willing to go out according to the Scriptural pattern at least a couple of times with other ministers during their mission. (See schedule below for explanation.) |

| 1. For the first month you will live in Siguatepeque for orientation and acclimatization doing missionary work with ministers which live in Siguatepeque. |
| 2. For the next 11 months you will live with the family of one of the ministers which live in one of the other villages helping him in missionary work. |
| 3. A couple of times during this 11 month period you will go out on an extended missionary trip of one to two weeks in length with one of the other priesthood members. These trips will follow the Scriptural pattern which is found in Mat 6:25-30, Mat 10:6-17, Mark 6:9-14, Luke 9:1-6, Luke 10:1-12, DC 23:6-7, and DC 83:13-20. (two by two, without purse or script, only one set of extra clothes so that the ones you are wearing can be washed, etc.) |
| 4. At least once a month you will be visited by the mission director to check and see how things are going and to see if you need anything. You will also be participating in the monthly national priesthood meeting. |
| 5. At least once during the year you will be asked to function as a counselor at one of the youth camps. |
| 1. For the first month you will live in Siguatepeque for orientation and acclimatization learning how to use the Spanish church school curriculum. |
| 2. For the next 11 months you will live with a church family which lives in one of the other villages teaching church school a number of times a week and/or assisting one of the Sunday School teachers. You may also be asked to begin a children’s choir and set up a children’s program for your local Honduran congregation. |
| 3. At least once a month you will be visited by the mission director to check and see how things are going and to see if you need anything. |
| 4. At least once during the year you will be asked to function as a counselor at one of the youth camps |
